Tamra is back on her feet

Tamra enjoys the freedom of walking

Tamra, who has faced movement and speech challenges, uses a Rifton Pacer Walker to enable her to improve and maintain her standing strength.

Tamra has faced the challenge of a rare neurodevelopmental disorder which is classified as part of the autism spectrum.

This rare disorder results in loss of purposeful movement control and speech and has characteristic repetitive hand / body movements and possibly a stiff and unbalanced or rocking walking pattern.

Tamra also fell and broke her hip which then meant that she needed to have the help of a Rifton Pacer walker to enable her to walk which she still enjoys doing.

Tamra now uses a Rifton Pacer Walker to enable her to improve and maintain her standing strength.... and now enjoys looking about and getting outside to walk on the pathways and listen to the birds and flowers.

Tamra walking with Alister

Tamra uses a Rifton Pacer Walker to enable her to improve and maintain her standing strength which Mum Wendy says really helps her with standing for transferring in and out of the car when she goes home for some weekends. Tamra enjoys looking about and getting outside to walk on the pathways and listen to the birds. She loves that she is now able to look at, and enjoy, the flowers. Maybe we sometimes even sneak a flower or two for her!
